I believe that a confident and happy adult dog stems from a puppy who has been exposed to a calm and safe environment where their needs have been met and who has been exposed to as many different situations and environments as possible within their comfort limits.
I use only positive and fun training methods. Training will usually take place outside as this is the optimal environment for your dogs training. We also do training in your home, or other areas for specific skills and socialisation. Please refer to our 1:1 Dog Training page for a detailed information and prices.
Our dog walking services include various walks for dogs of all ages and personalities, please refer to the dog walking page.

I am based in Watford in Hertfordshire, England and work in the surrounding areas (up 20 minutes away by car). I can travel further, but would need to add travel and mileage cost.

This is a method that focuses on rewarding desired behaviours to encourage their repetition.
Positive training is not only about teaching commands but also about building a trusting and respectful relationship with your dog. By focusing on rewarding good behaviour, you encourage your dog to repeat those actions and create a positive learning environment.
We also encourage engagement with your dog through games, fun and various other exercises.
Our methods used are very effective, humane and strengthens the bond between you and your dog.
From a very young age I have been passionate about dogs. Some of my most wonderful experiences have involved dogs. Running, hiking, meeting other dogs on a walk or sitting in a cafe or a restaurant with a calm, well behaved dog is a true joy that enhances life experiences. I have trained all of my own dogs, experiencing the joy and frustrations of watching them grow and develop into delightful companions. I have also helped and advised many of my friends and their puppies as a hobby.
Having worked for over 20 years as a nurse in Accident and Emergency, I am now able to follow my lifelong passion for dogs by becoming a qualified dog training instructor and being able to help others train their dogs.
Dogs are wonderful, loving, intelligent and sensitive animals and with proper training, patience and communication with your dog, they will become delightful well behaved companions for you.
Different breeds have different attributes and it is important that your dog is encouraged to develop in accordance with the specific needs of their breed.
Our dogs develop so rapidly during their first 2 years of life, and at times test our patience. It is important that you put in the time and effort during these 2 years so that you have a calm, well balanced and happy dog that loves being with you. Your patience, consistency and calmness during this time will be rewarded with a wonderful companion dog and years of fun and joy.
I would love to be able to support you and your dog through these early stages of your dogs development and be there to guide you through this time. 💕.
Tayka is our four year old Jackapoo.
She is a lovely, gentle obedient dog trained in pet therapy for children and disabled people.
She loves dogs, people and being stroked. She has a natural, calming manner with other dogs.
Tayka has helped the training of other puppies with social skills and bite inhibition through play. She can also help with anxious or shy puppies to increase their confidence around other dogs.
I can bring Tayka for a training session to help with socialising and demonstrating obedience and behaviour skills if we consider it to be beneficial for your dogs training. She may also accompany me for some of group walks occasionally.
Inka is our one year old German Shepherd. She is a wonderful, fun loving, gentle young dog that is extremely friendly to all dogs and people.
Inka can help your puppy to become comfortable and familiar with larger breed dogs in a calm and controlled environment; an option available to you should you wish.
